Why Wole Soyinka Is Not Criticizing Tinubu’s Administration: Eedris Abdulkareem

Diligent Due to their closeness, Nigerian artist Eedris Abdulkareem asserts that Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka is not criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration for the nation’s current economic woes.
When questioned last year about his quiet in the face of the nation’s current difficulty, Soyinka responded that it was too soon to evaluate Tinubu’s administration and that he would do it after a year in office.

But even though President Tinubu’s administration has been in power for about a month, Soyinka has not yet delivered his anticipated evaluation of the administration.

Abdulkareem bemoaned in an SRTV interview that Soyinka, who was well-known for his scathing critiques of the previous regime, has been unjustly silent with the current one.

“He [Wole Soyinka] has been very quiet lately,” he stated. We know why, since I am aware of his positive relationship with Tinubu.

Regarding Nigeria’s continuous economic suffering, Eedris Abdulkareem has criticized Pastor E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

According to Naija News, the rapper and hip-hop artist made fun of the cleric in a widely shared video clip that our respondent saw on social media. In it, he reportedly challenged Pastor Adeboye to criticize President Bola Tinubu’s administration for the state of the country, just as he had done with the previous one.

Abdulkareem recounted how, in protest of the status of the country at the time, Pastor Adeboye organized a one million match during the administration of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

In his lyrics, the artist emphasized the need to speak truth to power and called Adeboye’s purported silence “hypocrisy.”
