Violent Protests in Katsina: Hoodlums Loot Properties
The #EndBadGovernance protests in Katsina State became violent on Thursday, with some hoodlums looting houses.
Several people were reported dead after some miscreants allegedly hijacked the demonstration, plundering numerous shops and vandalizing citizens’ property.
This occurred before the protesters arrived at the site of their scheduled demonstration.
To restore law and order, some security personnel were obliged to fire multiple gunshots at the protesting adolescents, dispersing them.
According to Channels Television, several of the victims, including police officers and a DPO, received various medical treatments at a clinic in the Katsina State Government House.
However, attempts to contact Police spokesman Abubakar Sadiq were unsuccessful since his phone number was unavailable for comment.
