Tinubu’s Cabinet Reshuffle Plans: Key Changes Ahead

President Bola Tinubu has stated the intention to replace his cabinet.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, revealed this to State House correspondents on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He added that, contrary to popular belief, the current government has made tremendous progress in its efforts to change the economy, of which the general public is ignorant.

Onanuga stated that Tinubu has directed his ministers to engage the public by publicising what the government is doing in their respective ministries.

He replied, “I don’t have a timetable. The President has expressed his desire to reshuffle his cabinet and will do it. I don’t know whether he wants to do it before October 1, but he will surely do it.

O’tega Ogra, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Strategy Engagement and Communications, explained Tinubu’s decision in detail, stating that it is supported by empirical facts.

Ogra added that during the retreat organized for the ministers shortly after their inauguration in August 2023, Tinubu said unequivocally that there would be periodic reviews of their performance, which would drive the President’s decision.
