The Super Eagles of Nigeria were on Thursday night thrashed 1-0 by the Central African Republic in the race for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

Despite having recorded two victories in two games, the Super Eagles were unable to capture the moment and are still at the top of Group C with 6 points.

The sole goal was scored by the Wild Beast striker Karl Namnganda who shot past goalkeeper Francis Uzoho in the 90th minute.

Despite having players like Osimhen, Iheanacho and Moses Simon, the Super Eagles showed a disappointing first half and struggled to maintain possession.

Nigeria top the table at 6 points, 2nd is Cape Verde with 4 pts, 3rd is the Central African Republic with 4 pts, and the last is Liberia with 3 pts
