Peter Obi declares, “I Will Never Knowingly Break Any Law”

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president in the election on February 25, has stated that he has always followed the law and that he “never knowingly breaks any law.”

His remarks coincide with reports that UK immigration detained him at London’s Heathrow Airport in early April.

The former governor of Anambra State was detained and questioned for a duplication violation, according to a statement released by the Labour Party last Wednesday, which hinted that he may have been impersonated in London.
The party claims that after being interrogated for a considerable amount of time, Obi was ultimately spared by the unplanned action of Nigerians at Heathrow Airport.

Since it was reported, neither UK immigration nor Obi have spoken out about the situation.

Obi, however, asserted in a Tuesday Twitter post that he will never deliberately breach any laws despite the fact that people are prone to making mistakes and that he is not “afraid of the lies and propaganda against my person”

“Those opposed to the establishment of the New Nigeria may continue to throw mud at us, but I won’t let them stop me from achieving my goals. I’ve always followed the law as closely as possible.

We all make mistakes from time to time as humans, but I will never intentionally disobey the law. As a result, I have no fear of the rumors and misinformation spread about me.

They are part of the journey to a New Nigeria,” he tweeted.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) results, Obi came in third place behind Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who was proclaimed the winner, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Both Obi and Atiku rejected the INEC-announced results and declared themselves the winners. Additionally, they have made a complaint to the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.
