One Feared Dead In Recent Communal Crisis in Warri
One person has reportedly died in the continuing land dispute between the Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh villages in the Delta State local governments of Udu and Warri South-West.
Sources claim there was a gun battle early on Friday between rival neighborhoods, with security personnel attempting to restore quiet and harmony, though the police have not officially confirmed the reports.
The land dispute between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh has lasted for a long time. Both lives and property have been lost to the disaster.
With the belief that it would end the ongoing problem, the Delta State government had developed a plan to define community boundaries.
