Newcastle United signed Nigerian striker William Osula

Newcastle United have signed William Osula, a Nigerian-born Denmark Under-21 striker, from Sheffield United.
William Osula, a 21-year-old striker born in Denmark to Nigerian parents, has joined Newcastle United in a move allegedly worth £15 million.
Osula made 31 senior appearances for Sheffield United, scoring three goals.

Despite the squad’s relegation to the Championship, Osula’s promise has been seen, and he has five caps for Denmark’s Under-21 team.

Osula expressed his excitement at joining Newcastle United, saying, “It’s a big club, a great club, so I’m very happy for the opportunity to join Newcastle United.”

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said that the club had been tracking Osula for three years after receiving a tip from assistant manager Jason Tindall.

Howe stated, “He’s a player I’ve known when JT [Jason Tindall] was at Sheffield United. We’ve been following him for three years, and he excites us. He possesses all of the necessary characteristics to become an excellent center forward.”

Newcastle’s sixth summer acquisition is Osula, who joins an already excellent list that includes Miodrag Pivas, Odysseas Vlachodimos, John Ruddy, Lloyd Kelly, and Lewis Hall.

Despite the fact that he presently represents the Denmark under-21 squad, William Osula is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, his ancestral nation.
