Mercy Aigbe’s House Fire: Kemi Afolabi Defends Actress
Following a recent terrible fire at Mercy Aigbe’s Lagos house, Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has spoken out in support of her colleague.
Mercy sustained a significant loss on Wednesday after a fire damaged various valuables worth millions of naira at her residence.
Following the terrible tragedy, several social media trolls and critics alleged that Mercy deliberately caused the disaster to promote her next film ‘Thinline’, while others flung harsh insults at the actress, citing her marriage scandal with Kazim Adeoti’s first wife.
Kemi Afolabi responded in a video posted on Instagram,
begged with critics to stop mocking Mercy and asked why anyone would believe her colleague would use such a horrible circumstance to promote her film.
Mercy, according to Kemi, deserves assistance rather than internet abuse.
She stated, “I am begging on behalf of Mercy…” She didn’t send me, and I know she’s always a powerful woman. I simply feel terrible that she has to go through this. Please give her any assistance you can at this time. Could you please quit trolling her?
I understand we are all human, and no one is flawless. We’ve already talked about the house. We have folks who have said they will back her. It is a huge thing. Consider everything that has burned down, including her property, the house itself, and the filmmaking equipment.
“I can’t believe they’re still trolling her. This is unjust. All she needs is your support. Forget anything you may have against her. “How could someone let her house burn down to promote a movie?”
