Lagos Extends Work-from-Home Policy for Three More Months

The Lagos State Government has extended the work-from-home policy for state servants in response to growing living costs.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Lagos State Head of Service Bode Agoro said the government had extended the “flexible work initiative” for another three months to mitigate the effects of the loss of petrol subsidies.

“Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has magnanimously approved the extension of the flexible work-from-home initiative for an additional three (3) months with effect from September 4th to 3rd of December 2024,” according to the release.

“As a result, all accounting officers are enjoined to take notice of the substance of this circular for compliance purposes and to give it the necessary service-wide dissemination.

In February, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu ordered that workers in grades 1-14 should work from home two days each week, while those in grades 15-17 should work from home one day.
