KCee Advocates Unity in Igbo Culture Amid Recent Controversy

Kingsley Okonkwo, also known as KCee, a Nigerian singer, has gone on a protracted social media rage after his colleague, Chinedu Okoli, well known as Flavour N’abania, made a questionable post online.
According to Lagmen Net news, in the post on X, Flavour referred to his colleague as a copycat.
He wrote, “Copy copy akaria”

The Igbo Highlife star’s post comes after KCee unveiled his new tune, ‘Netfliss’, and provided teasers from the music video. Some netizens noticed a resemblance between the song and Flavour’s popular single with Phyno, ‘Doings’.

Despite the fact that Flavour did not name anyone in his article, KCee used his X page to lambaste his colleague.

The ‘Ojapiano’ singer admitted that he was not on the same level as his colleague and advised him to choose his conflicts wisely.
According to KCee, his colleague should cease gatekeeping Igbo culture because he is not its custodian.

He wrote, “BRO!!!!!!.” We are not at the same level. Pick your battles carefully.

“Stop trying to restrict Igbo culture. You are not a custodian. I was in this game before you. It belongs to everyone.
You do not own this type of music. My music honors our legacy, and I refuse to apologize. In a sea of things that matter. You are like a needle.

“Authenticity is something that people recognize. I will continue to celebrate our culture without apology.

Spend your focus on success rather than denigrating mine.
I’m not a confrontational person, but I refuse to be insulted.

“There’s no way…” I’ve come too far for anyone to underestimate my sweat and hard work. “Hell no!”
