Applications from adequately qualified applicants are invited for admission to the University Advanced Basic Science (UABS) Programme, Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), The Federal University of Technology, Akure.
Objective
The objective is to prepare students for admission into 200 level courses in the Federal University of Technology, Akure and other Universities in Nigeria through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Direct Entry process and admission to universities all over the world.
Admission Requirements
The candidate must have completed O/L (WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB) at no more than two sittings with a minimum of five credit passes in any of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, or Geography. All candidates must have credit passes in English, Mathematics, and any three other disciplines relevant to their field. Candidates who complete the curriculum are admitted to FUTA's 200-level undergraduate program, other Nigerian universities, and some selected universities overseas via CIE, IJMBE, and JUPEB.
Mode of Study
The programme shall be run on full-time basis.
Duration
The UABS programme shall run for ONE (1) academic session of TWO (2) semesters.
