The JAMB policy meeting to address the admission cut-off marks and other related topics was conducted today, Thursday, July 18, 2024, as previously stated. Prof. Tahir Mamman, the Honorable Minister of Education, presided over the meeting. The JAMB registrar, vice chancellors, and other education stakeholders were in attendance.
Much of the deliberations during the meeting were regarding the admission guidelines and acceptable minimum admissions standards for all tertiary institutions across Nigeria for 2024
We have made available some of the highlights of the meeting;
- Minimum Age for admission: It was decided that the minimum age for admission will be 18 years from next year. CLICK HERE to read more on that.
- Top Scorers in the 2024 UTME: The JAMB Registrar while throwing up statistics regarding the 2024 UTME revealed the top scorers in the 2024 UTME. CLICK HERE to read more on that.
- Most-Sought After Institutions: The JAMB Registrar also disclosed the tertiary institutions with the highest number of applications in the 2024 UTME. CLICK HERE to check out the list.
- Acceptable Minimum Cut-off Mark: The meeting also decided on the minimum admission cut-off mark for admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education. CLICK HERE to read more on that.
