Actors from Nollywood react to Anikulapo receiving 16 AMVCA nominations

Veteran Nollywood performer Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr. Latin, has congratulated director Kunle Afolayan on receiving 16 nominations for his smash song Anikulapo at the AMVCA.

The film, which Kunle Afolayan co-produced and directed, featured a number of well-known performers, including Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Taiwo Hassan, Yinka Quadri, and Eyiyemi Afolayan.
Anikulapo was so well-liked in 2022 that Nigerians used Google to seek for it more than any other country.

Latin congratulated Kunle on the nomination on Monday, April 17 through his Instagram. He wrote, “Congratulations ANIKULAPO @kunleafo.”

Congratulations to all of the Yoruba Nollywood, Yinka Quadri stated in the comments section.

Bimbo Ademoye, Yinka Quadri, Taiwo Hassan, and Sola Sobowale are among the nominees for Anikulapo in the voting categories for Best Actress in a Drama, Movie, or TV Series, Best Supporting Actor (Movie/TV Series), and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, Movie, or TV Series, respectively.

Sola Dada, Lanre Omofaiye, Kunle Afolayan, Kent Edunjobi, and Kunle Afolayan are the nominees for the film in the non-voting categories for Best Indigenous Language Movie or TV Series: Yoruba and Best Writer in Movie or TV Series, respectively.

Others are Temitope Folarin for Best Picture Editor in Movie or TV Series; Anu Afolayan for Best Sound Editor in Movie or TV Series; Jonathan Kovel for Best Cinematographer; Kunle Afolayan for Best Director; Hakeem Effects Onilogbo for Best Makeup Artist Movie or TV Series; Kunle Afolayan for Best Movie West Africa.

Others include Kunle Afolayan for Best Overall Movie and Toyin Ogundeji for Best Costume Designer (Movie/TV Series).
