Job Description:

Our client is a growing company in the agriculture/manufacturing industry that is committed to delivering high-quality products and services. Due to expansion, they seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting for the organization.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management review.
  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns and assist with tax-related matters.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational decisions.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable/receivable processes effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy in inventory and cost accounting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an Accountant in a similar industry.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ICAN or ACCA certification is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Tally, or any relevant software
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies and errors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must reside in Benin or be willing to relocate to Benin-city.

Salary Range: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000/month
