Real Madrid Transfer News: Man Utd make £92m Gareth Bale offer – report in Spain
MANCHESTER UNITED have launched a £92million bid for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to reports in Spain
Jose Mourinho appeared to rule out a deal after the Red Devils’ 2-1 European Super Cup defeat this month, saying it was ‘game over’ in their pursuit.
But Spanish outlet Don Balon claims Manchester United have launched a new bid for Bale despite their previous comments.
It is said they have contacted the La Liga giants and informed them they are willing to pay £92m to bring the player to Old Trafford.
And with Cristiano Ronaldo undroppable, Bale’s chances of regaining his place in the team are 50/50.
Don Balon adds Real see United’s new bid as a great chance to make a healthy profit on the winger.
Los Blancos paid £86million to sign him four years ago and, with injuries hampering the 28-year-old in recent years, United’s offer could be too good to turn down.
Should a deal go through he will become the third most-expensive player in world football, ranking behind Neymar and Ousmane Dembele.
