‘Davido and Wizkid’s Songs Aren’t Selling Again; They’re Using Controversy To Stay Relevant.’ – Portable

Controversial Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, a Nigerian musician, has responded to his colleagues Davido and Wizkid’s recent spat.
Lagmen Net previously claimed that Wizkid renewed his long-running spat with Davido on his X page, marking their second major online dispute in 2024.
Wizkid, who called Davido a ‘wack with no ability,’ also threw tantrums at the singer’s family, including his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Portable blasted both artists in a series of Instagram postings on Wednesday evening, stating their songs no longer sell and that they use controversy to promote their music.

The ‘Zazzu Zeh’ hitmaker further stated that he is now more popular and celebrated than Davido and Wizkid. However, the statements are dramatically contrasted with contemporary events in the music industry.

He wrote, “Don’t use your brother to shine; shine on your own.” Your (Wizkid and Davido) songs are no longer on the market; instead, you (Davido and Wizkid) are promoting yourselves through fighting.

Let’s forget about bogus promotion and concentrate on creating popular tunes. Portable is larger than them (Wizkid and Davido); who is big is big. We are not on the same level; it’s just me and God. “Omolalomi, the chosen one.”

Portable also stated that he does not support Davido or Wizkid’s recent online feud.

He wrote, “I am not here for Davido. I am not here for Wizkid. I am here for me, so I support those that support me. “Chosen one.”
