Why is Reno Omokri ‘attacking’ the Igbos? IPOB lawyer, Peter Obi, reveals

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, a human rights activist and legal counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has explained why former presidential aide Reno Omokri is constantly making derogatory comments and posts about the Igbos, as well as attacking the personality of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi.
In a statement signed and posted on his X handle on Friday, Ejiofor stated that Omokri, a content generator, purposely damages the image of the Igbos and Obi for financial benefit.
Omokri’s purpose, he claims, is to attract traffic to his postings in order to promote his internet business and generate the necessary engagements for remuneration.

The IPOB counsel asked Nigerians, particularly Igbos, to ignore Omokri’s continued provocations on his social media platforms.

According to him, their silence speaks volumes, as it will result in Omokri losing the engagement he has always valued. He also advises Nigerians to ignore the self-proclaimed pastor and deny him their attention.

Ejiofor’s post reads: ATTENTION, UMUIGBO! Udo diri unu; umunnem umuigbo, ndi oga adirimma.

“Meet Reno Omokri, a well-known content creator whose primary source of income is the cash advantages he continually generates from your replies to his controversial/unfounded statements on Facebook, Instagram, and X (previously Twitter).

“In his constant racial baiting of Igbos and Peter Obi, Reno purposefully creates rude, disrespectful, and scornful posts. Why? Because he understands that by provoking you, he can increase traffic and engagement to his posts.

Your comments and conversations will surely promote his business by maintaining traffic and popularity on his platforms, paving the road for consistent returns on his chosen job, which often generates millions of Naira and USD. And you believe that a man earning this exorbitant sum will change his pattern; but, he cannot until YOU STOP HIM.
His technique is straightforward: play on your emotions to boost the reach and profitability of his content. By continually engaging him in attempts to dislodge his often deliberate falsehoods, you become an enabler of his aims and successful business. He is not a nationalist in terms of national concerns; he is simply interested in business.

Here’s what you can do to stop Reno and his company:

– Ignore his provocation. Silence speaks volumes.
– Unfollow him. Do not give him the joy of having your attention.
– Spread the word. Let others know how he operates.

“As an Igbo man, you have power. Use your intelligence and band together to reduce his effect. Allow this message to spread and reclaim control from those that exploit our community for personal gain.”
