APC Chieftain Blasts Tinubu’s Appointees Over Unrest In North, Absolves Yahaya Bello and El-Rufai

Jesutega Onokpasa, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, accused the President’s Northern appointees for the disturbance in the area during the #EndBadGovernance rally. In an online video, Onokpasa chastised the Northern appointments for failing to protect Tinubu’s government or ensure the sanity of protesters across the country.

According to the lawyer, many of President Tinubu’s appointees, particularly those from the North, do not love him or support his government.

Speaking further, Onakpasa cleared former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and his Kaduna State counterpart, Nasir El-rufai, of funding anti-Tinubu protests.

The APC chieftain stated that Bello and El-Rufai made significant contributions to President Tinubu’s emergence, and that if the duo had not been saddled with politically motivated issues, they would have responded to the violent demonstration in the North, restored calm, and assured them of Tinubu’s good intentions.

He stated, “Nobody is flawless. I have fundamental disagreements with them, but they are our brothers, and they supported us when it counted the most.

Who is perfect? Am I? No one, including Asiwaju, is perfect. Only our Lord Jesus Christ, and only God, are flawless.
Could you imagine, Russia? We’re bigger than Russia. We have a larger population than Russia. Carrying Russian flags on our soil and pushing for a military coup? Are Yahaya and Nasir in Niger? What are they doing? Where’s the proof? We have a serious problem in this party. We’re just falling apart.

“Now, so far, what I would say about the northern dimension of this so-called nationwide protest, which is simply an excuse for mayhem,

If we had our members (Bello and El-Rufai) still with us, fully with us, free to do what every Nigerian citizen should do, if we had Yahaya Bello and Nasir el-Rufai, these are people like me, they are not afraid of anything, they will speak their minds, they would have calmed down the North, they would have spoken up for Asiwaju.

“I want you guys to forget about this nonsense and let us get back together. Yahaya Bello and Nasir El-Rufai are part of us, our brothers, and have nothing to do with the statewide protest.”
