Soldiers neutralize In Kaduna, a Notorious Bandit Leader

Isiya Danwasa, a prominent bandit commander, and his crew were attacked by troops of operation Forest Sanity under the 1 Division Nigerian Army after receiving a tip from human intelligence sources.

According to information acquired, the bandit commander planned to send Yunusa, one of his errand boys, to Kaduna town to buy some weapons and ammo.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Army’s spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, stated that the errand boy had subsequently been followed, captured by soldiers wearing plain clothes, and used to entice two of the bandits’ leaders to a certain ammo storage location.

Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Force Commander Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Punch, praised the soldiers for their exemplary behavior and duty completion.

He also ordered the military to pursue any outlaws without mercy. The GOC once more urged the people to continue providing the military and other security services with reliable and useful information in order to combat banditry. kidnapping and other crimes to a lasting end.
