UEFA Champions League: According to Tuchel, it won’t be over until it’s over

Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich, has maintained a positive attitude despite his team’s Tuesday surprise loss to English champions Manchester City.

At the Etihad Stadium, the Germans had a miserable night as Guardiola’s team scored three unanswered goals, two of which came from the usual suspect Erling Haaland and one from Rodri.

The losers are still nursing their wounds as Tuchel looks ahead to the second leg at the Allianz Arena on April 19. for potential change
In a post-game press conference, the 49-year-old remarked, “It’s not over until it’s over.”

The outcome is not indicative of the game. We displayed genuine character. Over the opening 20 minutes of the second half, we performed brilliantly, but we didn’t get paid for it.

“We fell short of a long-term objective. The response was excellent, becoming even better in the second half. We made an effort to turn the tide in our favor. Everyone is obviously disappointed.

Tuchel revealed, however, that he was aware of the request to try to save the outcome back in Munich and that he was depending on home advantage to succeed.

“While it didn’t seem like it, the score was 3-0 against us. Turning things around is a difficult task, but we won’t give up. In Germany, a home game is a home game, he said.

Midfielder Joshua Kimmich agreed with his bosses’ assessment, saying an upset shouldn’t be discounted.

We’re optimistic that the second leg will yield something, Kimmich remarked.

We were confident after the first half. We were able to move around, we played solid defense, and in the second half, we tried to salvage the game.

We had faith that we could change things, he added.
