Are You Laughing? Dino Melaye’s aspirations for governor are mocked by Wike

Senator Dino Melaye’s bid for governor of Kogi has been mocked by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, who claims the PDP leader lacks the qualifications necessary to run for the position.

The governor was addressing Tuesday in Port Harcourt during a media discussion with a few journalists.

During the debate, Wike remarked, “When you give Dino that ticket, you know he won’t win in Kogi State.”

Why would residents of Kogi claim they would support a politician like Dino? Are you serious?

He claimed that, if a person runs for office, being from a certain area alone does not guarantee electoral victory.

He asserts that the PDP will be bound to failure if the former congressman from Kogi West is given the nomination.

Does this indicate that if the PDP wants to win the election, it would offer the nomination to Dino and that you will claim tomorrow that the poll was rigged after you have already committed suicide?

The former minister questioned, “Are we declaring that we want to win an election or merely have a candidate?”

The governor says he won’t campaign for the PDP if the party gives its governorship ticket to Senator Dino. “Do you need to ask me that kind of question? Are you not aware that I would not do that?” Wike said when asked if he would campaign for the main opposition party if Dino wins the ticket. He accused the party’s leadership of trying to “manipulate” the process in favour of Dino.“Why are you trying to manipulate this in favour of one aspirant?” he queried.
