Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson for the Nigerian police, has responded to the popular video of Portable defying arrest in his pub.

According to Portable, the people who took the police to the club to make the arrest were online scammers.

The police said in a widely shared video that they were going to arrest Portable after receiving a petition against him.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the arrest and claimed that despite numerous invitations being issued to Portable, he refused each one, leading the police to decide to break into his establishment and make the arrest.

In a statement issued on March 29, Olumuyiwa Adejobi denounced Portable’s behavior and said that, depending on the gravity of the offense, the police would take all necessary measures to look into his acts and make sure he was held accountable.
